Gorges Lodge clings to the Zimbabwean shoulder of Batoka Gorge, with it's steep cliffs just downstream of Victoria Falls. The lodge with its chalets is uniquely situated on the edge of the 200 metre precipice overlooking the Zambezi River. The attraction of Gorges Lodge lies in its stunning views and proximity to the legendary Victoria Falls and its rainforest which is rich in bird life, butterflies and wild flowers, as well as several tame bushbuck, baboons and vervet monkeys. Although the lodge is a bit further out of town than most of the other accommodation options in Victoria Falls, its breathtaking location more than makes up for this.
